Our Wedding – The Groom

Wow, Friday again?! Comes around fast :) I’m going to be tied up today sorting out the food for this evenings Olympics Opening Ceremony Party, but thought I’d squeeze in a couple of Flashback Friday posts about our wedding.

Starting with my wonderful, darling groom…

One of my favourite pictures of my husband on our wedding day…
I’m not sure why, just something about it makes me smile!

He wore a traditional, three piece morning suit with tails, a white waistcoat, white cravat and white handkerchief. We hired all of the suits from Couture Pour Homme in Hornchurch. I loved how he looked in his suit, he looked so handsome ♥

On the morning of the wedding, he got ready at his parent’s house with his best men and usher. My mother-in-law made them all breakfast, and I’m sure that they had a great morning together!

A last minute decision was the car that my husband and his groomsmen rode to the venue in – a white 1960 Cadillac De Ville Convertible from Cool Classic Cars. We saw the car at one of the last wedding shows we went to, and he thought it would be a great car to travel to the wedding in. It was hired on the spot! He was chauffeured to the venue, and said that the car drew a lot of attention as it drove along the main road!

I put together an Emergency Kit for my hubs-to-be on the day of the wedding, because I knew he would forget certain things! I also bought him a pair of socks which said “So you don’t get cold feet” on them, and I also bought him some crystal cufflinks to wear. I put everything inside paper bags which I decorated.
