Welcome to Crafty October – a month of Halloween ideas! I started this series in 2012 (the first month of October on my blog!) with the goal of sharing a different craft each day throughout the month.
However, it has become all things Halloween, including crafts, food, party ideas, printables, costumes, and anything related to Halloween!
If you love Halloween as much as I do, you must ensure you have joined The Pumpkin Patch!
Members of the Pumpkin Patch will receive exclusive goodies, such as member-exclusive printables, discount codes for the Purple Pumpkin Printables shop, and more!
Crafty October
Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related guising), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories and watching horror films. In many parts of the world, the Christian religious observances of All Hallows’ Eve, including attending church services and lighting candles on the graves of the dead, remain popular, although elsewhere it is a more commercial and secular celebration. Some Christians historically abstained from meat on All Hallows’ Eve, a tradition reflected in the eating of certain foods on this vigil day, including apples, potato pancakes, and soul cakes.

This page is the central hub for all the Halloween series over the years. Click through each year to be greeted with all the ideas for that year.
I tend to stay on the cute and less spooky side of Halloween, keeping it kid and family-friendly. I will always let you know if something is for adults only.

Crafty October 2016
This is the only year that I’ve not shared an idea a day—you can explain why when you visit the page. In 2016, it was mainly free printables using Disney Villains as the theme.
Crafty October 2015
I created a full party set using The Nightmare Before Christmas as the theme. It was mainly printables in 2015 because I was going on holiday and wouldn’t have time to do much else. I think these printables are some of my favourite ever!
Crafty October 2014
Quite a lot of recipes again in 2014, both sweet and savoury – and using pumpkins too! I also shared 35 pumpkin carving patterns, and a 101 guide.
