Cookie Policy

This Cookies Policy is subject to modification without notice. Modifications will take effect immediately and supersede all prior Cookie Policies. This Cookie Policy was last updated on 28 May 2025.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites use to make a user’s experience more efficient. Once the cookie is set, the site “knows” that you have been there before and can then use that knowledge to tailor your experience. The vast majority of commercial websites – whether major online publishers, banks, or e-commerce sites – will utilize them.

What Are Cookies Used For?

Cookies are used for various purposes, including auto-filling forms, tracking visitors, storing shopping basket items, personalizing content, targeting advertising, recording user preferences, and authentication and security. We also share information about your use of our site with our social media, advertising, and analytics partners, who may combine it with other information that you’ve provided to them or that they’ve collected from your use of their services.

The law states that we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission. You have always been able to turn cookies off and on within your browser.

This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. E.g., Social Media buttons, widgets, and advertising banners. We use cookies to personalise blog content, deliver relevant ads, provide social media features, and analyze our traffic. Cookies play a significant role in the functionality of a website, and you can give or deny your consent below. We want to explain, in brief, what the types of cookies used on this site are:

  • Necessary—this Website will not function correctly without them. You cannot opt out of these.
  • Statistics—help us analyze our visitors’ behavior and shape the content you read here.
  • Marketing—this helps to deliver ads that are relevant to you.

Generally, cookies enhance your browsing experience. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser.

To disable cookies in Chrome, click the 3 dots at the top right of your browser (just under the close screen ‘x’). This will open a menu where you should choose ‘settings.’ The settings will open in a new window. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Advanced.’ In the ‘privacy and security’ section, find the option for ‘content settings.’ Here, you can enable or disable several features. Cookies are usually the first option.

For other browsers, you can also visit the About Cookies website, which provides guidance for all modern browsers.

What Happens When I Visit Another Website From a Link on Your Website?

Please ensure that when visiting another website through any links on The Purple Pumpkin Blog, you agree to their cookies. The Purple Pumpkin Blog is not responsible for cookies on websites other than its own.

A company has provided a prize for me to give away on my blog. I will have received payment to run the giveaway in the form of either monetary compensation or products/services. Prizes are sent directly from the company. If you do not receive a prize, please contact me so that I can follow up on this for you. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions for each giveaway, as they may differ.
