Build Sally Skellington Printable

If you love the gang from Halloween Town as much as we do, then our build Sally Skellington printable is a great way to celebrate Halloween and Christmas in one!

After all, there is some debate as to whether The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie!

Our buildable Sally Skellington isn’t quite as slender as she appears in the classic movie…

If you are a regular on The Purple Pumpkin Blog, you’ll notice that our buildable characters have a cute, chubby style.

However, like Jack, our printable Sally Skellington is slightly different and has been made taller than our other Free Printable Buildable Paper Halloween Characters.

The Halloween buildable characters are part of a wider set of other characters that are a great activity for kids of all ages. Whether that is at home, at an activity group or club, during homeschool, or in the classroom!

What Is In The Sally Skellington Printable Templates?

The pieces to assemble the Sally Skellington craft are:

  • Head/Body
  • Hair
    • The hair comes in two pieces (back and front) in the large-size printable.
    • In the regular-size printable, the hair is already in place. If you would like to put the arms in front of the hair, you’ll have to cut down the sides to slot them in.
  • Patchwork Dress
  • Arms
  • Legs/Shoes

There are two sizes for this free printable Nightmare Before Christmas character:

  • Regular – with all the pieces on one sheet of paper and creates a character around 4″/10cm tall. (This is the image at the top of the post.)
  • Large – with the pieces spread over several sheets. This creates a character around 12″/30cm tall.

How To Use the Build a Sally Printable

Download the high-quality PDF download at the bottom of this post and print as many copies as you need onto white (printer) paper. You can print the free Halloween printable at home, school, office, or at a Print Shop. Then, cut all the pieces out with scissors.

The Nightmare Before Christmas printables are suitable for children of all ages; however, the regular-size Sally Skellington is suitable for older children who are more skilled at cutting or for those looking to hone their fine motor skills.

The large size should be a lot easier for younger children—or you can cut them out for them—you know your children, so you will know what suits them best.

Once cut, place the pieces in the correct order to figure out where everything goes before sticking them in place with a glue stick or sticky tape.

We like using this roller glue because it is easy to use and has less sticky mess!

For an extra crafty dimension, why not mount Sally onto a larger piece of construction paper and use other craft materials to embellish it?

For example, glitter, craft foam, or tissue paper, to name a few.

You can use a laminator and laminate the pieces if you like and use them repeatedly.

Why not use split pins to construct the characters instead of glue to make the character moveable!

Or you could use popsicle sticks and regular-sized characters to make little puppets for Halloween role-playing or storytelling.

You could attach the characters to some ribbon or string and hang them as bunting. They would make great decorations for a Halloween Party.

Or why not number each piece and turn it into a fun game with dice? Throw the dice and each time a number is rolled, you take that piece – the first one to complete their character is the winner!

Most of all, just have fun with this Sally Skellington Halloween printable!
