Crafty October 2018
Home » HOLIDAYS » HALLOWEEN »Welcome to Crafty October 2018 – a month of Halloween ideas! This is my annual series that I have been running through the month of October since 2012 – I can’t believe Crafty October is in its 7th year!
If you’re a long time reader of The Purple Pumpkin Blog, you’ll know that I love Halloween! If you’re new here, you might have had an inkling since my blog name contains something associated with this time of year! But whether you are a regular or newbie, I hope that you enjoy all the Halloween stuff I have coming for you!

Crafty October 2018
I started The Purple Pumpkin Blog just after Halloween in 2011 and my first posts were about my love for it as well as the ‘Better Late than Never‘ Halloween dinner party I threw. I’ve got a dedicated section to Halloween Recipes and Halloween Crafts.
Back in 2012 when I first started this series, I shared a Halloween craft every day in October – which is where the name Crafty October came from. It was very ambitious and most days I would make the craft and get the post up on the same day – wow I was a different blogger back then! I even did it on the day that I was a birthing partner for my sister when she had my niece!
Over the years the series has evolved into more than crafts, with me sharing recipes, free printables, pumpkin carving templates, party ideas and more! I do sometimes sneak in some Autumn themed stuff too!
I’m going to be straight up honest and say that I’ve not prepared anything yet for Crafty October 2018… My plan was to be super ahead of time, but then I remembered that my brain doesn’t really work that way. Add in some personal issues and it means I’m doing this years series completely on the fly!
I can’t tell you what will be coming over the next month – I don’t even know myself yet – but there will be LOTS of Halloween ideas that’s for certain! I doubt I will be sharing every day like I used to – but I will share as much as I can!
You can check out Crafty October from 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012 if you can’t wait for this year’s ideas; which will eventually appear in the gallery below!
