This Spicy Peach Salsa is a summer month-inspired topping for chicken, or fish, or simply for dunking tortilla chips into! It is fruity, fragrant, and super yummy. Recipe Tips

  • Soak the red onion in a cup of water for 10-15 minutes before using it to reduce its strong flavor and odor.
  • For best results, make this salsa the night before serving so the flavors have a chance to blend. This will also soften the peaches and onion to a nice consistency.
  • Storing Leftovers: Cool and transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Freezing: Not suitable

Spicy Peach Salsa Recipe

Spicy Peach Salsa

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Chilling Time: 30 minutes

This Spicy Peach Salsa is a summer month-inspired topping for chicken, or fish, or simply for dunking tortilla chips into!

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh peaches, pits removed and cut into small pieces
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 medium shallot, minced
  • 3 Tbsp red onion, cut into small, thin slices
  • 1-2 tsp jalapeño peppers, seeds and veins removed, and very finely minced
  • 3 Tbsp fresh cilantro (coriander) leaves, finely chopped
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients* in a large glass or another non-reactive bowl. Season with salt and black pepper, to taste, and stir to combine.

    Tip: Start with a very small amount of jalapeno pepper and taste before adding more.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator overnight or on the counter at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Serve with foil packet citrusy white fish or other minimally seasoned fish, chicken, or pork recipe.


  4. This can also be served in place of regular salsa with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
