Fresh Summer Fruit Salad

The full ingredients list and instructions are found in the printable recipe card at the end of this post. I highly recommend reading all the way through for any tips or substitute suggestions, to ensure that you have any specialized ingredients and equipment required and that you understand the steps and timings involved.

I love the summertime for all of the delicious fruit that comes into season (although, this will depend on where you live in the world!) and I love making up a fruit salad for dessert.

The standout star in this flavorful fruit salad is the addition of Cotton Candy® (Candy Floss) grapes. This newer, super sweet variety delivers a very distinctive flavor worthy of its memory-invoking name.

Just to let you know that these grapes are not genetically modified food, but get their amazing taste as a result of selective natural cross-breeding practices conducted over many years.

You could use any kind of fruit you like in your fresh summer fruit salad – mix and match depending on the produce you have.

To take the fruit salad to the next level, pair it with our easy-to-make honey-yogurt dip that is flavored with a touch of cinnamon – perfect for dipping!

Ingredients & Equipment Used In This Recipe

While most ingredients can be bought in grocery stores, for your convenience, any specialized or notable ingredients (and equipment) needed for this recipe have been listed below and linked to Amazon or other stores if available online.

It does not include staple ingredients such as oil, salt, and pepper, as you’re likely to have those in your kitchen already. The complete list of ingredients with measurements is found in the recipe card.

  • Fresh Produce – Green Grapes (if possible, use Cotton Candy/Candy Floss Grapes), Pineapple, Mango, Limes, Strawberries, Kiwis, Mint
  • DairyPlain, Full-Fat Greek Yogurt
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Honeytry to buy locally produced honey when possible.
  • Ground Cinnamon

Recipes on The Purple Pumpkin Blog use both cup measurements and/or weighted measurements. American cups and kitchen food scales are handy pieces of equipment to have in your kitchen as it means you’ll be able to make all of the different recipes on my blog. I try to give American, imperial, and metric measurements in my recipes. Please note, you can mix cup measurements with weighted measurements, but never mix imperial (pounds, ounces, pints, etc.,) with metric (kilograms, grams, litres, etc.,).

Recipe Tips

  • For the best presentation, do not add the strawberries to the salad until right before serving. Otherwise, the lighter-colored fruits will absorb their bright red color. To prevent browning, slice and add kiwi to the bowl right before serving, as well.
