Funfetti Dip Recipe
Funfetti dip is one of those popular American dessert dips, that is pretty much unheard of in the UK. For a few reasons…
The original recipe is actually a copycat of Dunkaroo Dip, which was a beloved sweet treat in the 90s. This snack came in individual containers with some cookies for dunking into a sweet creamy dip.
The original recipe also uses ingredients that are not available in the UK—Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix and Cool Whip. The raw cake mix needs to be heated in the oven to cook the raw flour, which, for some, is a concern.
All those issues are taken out of the equation with our easy recipe! There is no worrying about cake mixes, raw eggs, or if you can get the correct ingredients, as they are all common and easy to buy in supermarkets and grocery stores the world over!* (*Probably.)
The 5-ingredient dip is so quick to make—-cream room temperature butter and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl, and then beat in powdered sugar and vanilla with a hand mixer, whisk, or wooden spoon.
Of course, don’t forget the sprinkles! These get mixed directly into the mixture, with extra sprinkles for garnish. Think of it like buttercream icing in dip form!

Imagine serving this Funfetti Dip recipe at your next Easter gathering. It’s the perfect sweet dip for an afternoon of egg hunting and springtime fun. Pair it with a selection of your favorite cookies for dunking, and you’ve got a dessert that both kids and adults will love.

This easy dessert dip can be multiplied to make large amounts to serve at other special occasions, such as a bridal or baby shower; you could change the sprinkles to match the color scheme. Or how about serving at birthday parties or as a sleepover snack?
It’s a great way to bring a touch of whimsy and joy to any dessert table!
