Skittles Vodka Cocktail
The full ingredients list and instructions are found in the printable recipe card at the end of this post. I highly recommend reading the blog post all the way through so that you don’t miss any tips or substitution suggestions and to ensure that you have all the ingredients and equipment required as well as understand the steps and timings involved.
The base of this cocktail is of course the Skittles vodka that is then shaken with cherry juice, lemonade, and lemon-lime soda.
It’s sweet and delicious and a great drink for the summer while sitting in the sunshine or to serve for the 4th of July!
Don’t worry if you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you could just use a container with a tight-fitting lid – like a mason jar, water bottle, or even the cup on a blender or smoothie maker.
Ingredients Used In This Skittles Cocktail
Depending on where you live in the world and the type of Skittles you buy, the colors of the Skittles may have different flavors!
You could use whichever ones you like when infusing your vodka – all the fruity flavor variations should work just fine with the mixers in this cocktail.
For your convenience, I’ve linked any specialized ingredients needed for this recipe to Amazon below.
- Original Skittles – the flavors are likely to be: lemon (yellow), lime or apple (green), orange (orange), strawberry (red), grape, or blackcurrant (purple).
- Vodka – use your preferred brand
- Cherry Juice – in the UK I tend to be able to find this easiest in shops like Lidl or Aldi rather than the big supermarkets.
- Lemonade – in the UK this is not our regular fizzy lemonade, but the still stuff. Tesco sells a Finest Still Lemonade Juice, and Fentimans Victorian Lemonade is also still.
- Lemon-Lime Soda – such as Sprite or 7 Up

Vodka that is infused with Skittles is something that you really must try. And it is so ridiculously easy to do!

Skittles Vodka Cocktail Variations
I like to try and give variations on the cocktails shared on The Purple Pumpkin Blog so here they are:
Frozen Skittles Vodka Cocktail
Want to turn this drink into a frozen slushie? Easy! Put all the ingredients in a blender with a generous amount of crushed ice – then blend till smooth. Serve with a straw, and watch out for brain freeze!
Skittles Vodka Cocktail Party Punch
If you want to make this adult beverage for a crowd, you can make a large batch of the cocktail with no problem!
As long as you use the same measuring container (glass, cup, jug, etc) for the “1 part”, the ratios will be correct and you can make as much as you need to. Serve in drinks dispensers, or pitchers, or go really retro and serve it from a punch bowl!
Make sure you add plenty of ice to your serving receptacle of choice.
If serving in a punch bowl add hulled strawberries and cherries, if serving from a pitcher or drinks dispenser have chopped fruit available for guests to add a garnish to their glass.
To make a big batch of Skittles Vodka Party Punch, mix together:
- 1½ parts Skittles vodka
- 1 part Cherry Juice
- 1 part Lemonade
- 3 parts Lemon-Lime Soda
This cocktail recipe is intended for adults of the legal drinking age in your country of residence.
Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive.
