St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, and probably one of the most widely celebrated saint’s days in the world. It’s celebrated on Matrch 17th, and is a national holiday in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It’s so long ago that I threw my St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Party – I was on party fire in 2012! Amazing how many years have passed by since. I would have loved to throw a gathering to celebrate this year, but I don’t think that is going to happen. But, it doesn’t mean I can’t make one or two of these yummy St. Patrick’s Day recipes for my husband and myself!

Some great recipes and ideas here! :-) I’ve made rainbow cupcakes before, they’re always a hit with everyone.
I don’t think I’ve ever really celebrated St. Patrick’s Day or even own anything green I could wear or any green home ware to decorate with.

Cupcakes are a winner every time!
I went to a Catholic convent primary school, and many of the nuns were Irish, so we always used to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – must have rubbed off on me to do the same at home!!
