Pink Grapefruit Martini

The full ingredients list and instructions are found in the printable recipe card at the end of this post. I highly recommend reading the blog post all the way through so that you don’t miss any tips or substitution suggestions and to ensure that you have all the ingredients and equipment required as well as understand the steps and timings involved.

The martini is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. Over the years, it has become one of the best-known mixed alcoholic beverages.

There are many variations of the original martini, one of which is a vodka martini, also known as a vodkatini.

James Bond is famously known for ordering his vodka martini shaken, not stirred. And that’s what we’ll do in this Pink Grapefruit Martini!

If martinis are your cocktail of choice, there’s one for all seasons, like a Peppermint Martini Cocktail for Christmas, a Peeps Martini for Easter, and for summer, a Watermelon Martini will hit the spot!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a cocktail shaker. You could use a container with a tight-fitting lid – like a mason jar or a cup on a blender or smoothie maker.

This martini cocktail is made with pink grapefruit, lime, vodka, and an orange liqueur such as Cointreau or triple sec; you can use whichever you prefer.

If you want more of a grapefruit hit, you could use a grapefruit vodka or grapefruit liqueur instead of an orange liqueur.

Frozen Pink Grapefruit Martini

Want to turn this cocktail into a frozen slushie? Easy! Put all the ingredients in a blender with a generous amount of crushed ice – then blend till smooth. Serve with a straw, and watch out for brain freeze!

Pink Grapefruit Martini Party Punch

Want to make this martini for a crowd? It’s so easy! Here’s how to do it!

As long as you use the same measuring container (glass, cup, jug, etc.,) for the “1 part”, the ratios will be correct and you can make as much as you need to.

Serve in drinks dispensers, pitchers, or go really retro and serve it from a punch bowl! Whichever container best suits your event (and the drink!).

Make sure you add plenty of ice to your serving receptacle of choice to keep the cocktail chilled. Instead of using water to make ice cube, why not try using juice instead – it won’t dilute the cocktail then!

Add slices of grapefruit, orange, and lime into the drinks container too if you like. You could also skewer the fruit onto cocktail picks and leave a plateful near the glasses so that guests can garnish their glasses.

Speaking of which, place cocktail glasses in the bar or serving area along with a filled ice bucket

To make a big batch of Pink Grapefruit Martini Party Punch, mix together:

  • 6 parts Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 part Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 parts Vodka
  • 1 part Orange Liqueur

This cocktail recipe is intended for adults of the legal drinking age in your country of residence.
Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive.
