Recipes on The Purple Pumpkin Blog use both cup measurements and/or weighted measurements. American cups and kitchen food scales are handy pieces of equipment to have in your kitchen as it means you’ll be able to make all of the different recipes on my blog. I try to give American, imperial, and metric measurements in my recipes. Please note, you can mix cup measurements with weighted measurements, but never mix imperial (pounds, ounces, pints, etc.,) with metric (kilograms, grams, litres, etc.,).

Recipe Tips
- Chili powder will vary in flavor depending on where it’s from.
- For your seasoning, make sure to buy good-quality spices as this ensures the best possible flavour. Cheaper seasonings are often devoid of flavour and quality, resulting in a bland and unappealing flavour.
- I highly suggest smoked paprika as it adds a delicious component to the mixture, but you can use regular paprika if that is what you have.
- Fine sea salt is my favorite when it comes to this seasoning, but any fine salt is fine. Avoid coarse salt as it might make the mixture too salty, so proceed with caution if you do use it.
- Use in recipes 1:1, if a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of fajita seasoning, you can you 1 tablespoon of your own mix.
