Diablo Raven Wreath

Maleficent has been my favorite Disney Villain in FOREVER. And if she is also your favorite you are really going to enjoy this Halloween craft!
Celebrate the Mistress of Evil’s pet raven, Diablo with this colorful and sparkly wreath – it’s not often a Disney Sidekick will take center stage, but I think he deserves it!
Diablo is made using craft foam and a free printable template which you will find towards the end of this post, just before the how-to tutorial card.
- The printable download is surrounded by a purple box. Tap the purple download buttons to save the file(s) to your device.
- I’ve provided two paper sizes – A4 and US Letter (8.5″ x 11″) – use which size is appropriate for your printer.
Materials & Tools Used in This Craft
You may have some standard craft supplies like scissors and glue at home already, however, for your convenience, I’ve linked any specialized materials and tools needed for this craft to Amazon below.
- Foam Wreath Form – you can make your wreath any size you like.
- Black Tissue Festooning – this seems to be the official name, but it’s like a tissue paper/crepe paper garland.
- Black Glitter Floral Stem/Branch
- Purple Glitter Tulle Ribbon
- Craft Foam – in the following colors: Black, Yellow, Orange and White
- Ping Pong Ball
- Bright Green Acrylic Paint
- Black Permanent Marker
- White Gel Pen – Uniball Signo white gel pens are my absolute favorite!
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Wire Cutters

Diablo Raven Wreath
This Diablo Raven Wreath is a must-make craft for all Disney fans this Halloween!
Materials
- Free Printable Pattern (link in blog post)
- Foam Wreath Form
- Black Tissue Festooning Garland
- Black Glitter Floral Stem/Branch
- Purple Glitter Tulle Ribbon
- Craft Foam in the following colors: Black, Yellow, Orange and White
- Ping Pong Ball
- Bright Green Acrylic Paint
- Black Permanent Marker
- White Gel Pen
Tools
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- Paintbrush
Instructions
- Wrap the black tissue garland around the wreath form and secure it with a glue gun.
- Gather and wrap the purple glittered tulle ribbon around the wreath and then secure it with a glue gun.
- Remove sections from the black glittered branch with wire cutters. Bend small branches into semi-circles and attach them around the wreath with a glue gun.
- Basecoat the ping pong ball with bright green craft paint to resemble the orb on Maleficent’s staff. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. Attach to the bottom left of the wreath with a glue gun.
- Print Diablo the Raven pattern and cut it out with scissors. Trace and cut all pattern pieces on craft foam according to the instructions on the pattern sheet.
- Outline Diablo the Raven pieces. Use a white gel pen on the black pieces and a black permanent marker on the light pieces, as indicated in the photo.
- Assemble Diablo the Raven by layering the eye, beak, and talons using the glue gun. Then glue the wing at the joint where the wing would attach to the body to create additional dimension.
- Here is a detailed photo of the completed Diablo the Raven made from craft foam.
- Glue Diablo's body to the left side of the wreath and his talons to the top of the bright green ping pong ball.
- Attach a hanging loop at the back and hang your wreath where desired!
