It’s a perfect centerpiece for a fall-themed table setting, adding a touch of farmhouse charm.

You could place it on a mantel, front porch, or bookshelf, or even use it as a doorstop.

How Do I Make A Denim Pumpkin?

The printable tutorial card with the full supplies list and instructions can be found at the end of this post.

Step 1 – Prepare Pumpkin: Remove the tag and stem from the pumpkin.

Carefully cut out a 2×2″ (5x5cm) square with a craft knife in the top and bottom middle of the pumpkin.

Step 2 – Cut Denim: Measure and cut a 12″/30cm length from the leg of the denim jeans, making sure that the pumpkin will fit inside. Place the foam pumpkin inside the center of the section fabric.

Step 3 – Start Wrapping Pumpkin: Insert the denim into the square hole at the bottom of the pumpkin.

Continue to fold the denim using the natural shape of the pumpkin as your guide, and poke the fabric into the hole with your finger.

Step 4 – Continue Wrapping: Flip the pumpkin over, gather, fold, and insert the denim into the hole.

Use a chopstick or pencil once the thick fabric fills the hole.

Continue to fold the denim using the natural shape of the pumpkin as your guide and poke the denim into the hole.

Step 5 – Attach Stem: Insert a wooden stem into the top center of the pumpkin and secure it with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Step 6 – Cut Felt Leaves: Download, print, and cut the leaf pattern. Trace onto felt with a marker.

Cut out the leaves with scissors, cutting inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

TIP! To create dimension, apply a dot of glue at the base of the leaf and fold it in half.

Step 7 – Make Pumpkin Vine: Measure and cut one 12″/30cm length of wired twine using wire cutters. Wrap around a pencil, and then slide off to create a vine. Stretch and bend the wire to create a pumpkin vine.

Step 8 – Embellish Pumpkin: Attach the vine and leaf to the side of the wooden stem with glue. When dry, display the demin pumpkin where desired.
