Step 1 – Gather Your Ingredients:
The ingredients and tools for this recipe are conveniently linked to online retailers such as Amazon, Amazon Fresh, Instacart, and Walmart. The quantities are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Our Disney breakfast charcuterie board is an upgraded version of our Mickey Waffle Charcuterie Board, but with ham and sausage patties cut into Mickey Mouse shapes with a cookie cutter.
As well as the breakfast meats, you’ll need to make some Mickey waffles (the absolute BEST breakfast at Walt Disney World Resort!). We used these flavors:
You will also need waffle toppings. Whipped cream, of course, with some Christmas Sprinkles as garnish. Here are the toppings shown on this board and a few extra ideas:
- Christmas M&M’s – Use red, green, and white candies for a festive touch.
- Peppermint Baking Chips
- Chocolate Chips
- White Chocolate Chips
- Peanut Butter Baking Chips
- Holiday Baking Chips
Other suggestions:
- Maple Syrup
- Christmas Tree Candy Sprinkles
- Butterscotch Chips
- Peppermint Sticks – if you can’t find these, regular or Mini Candy Canes are fine. Use the mini candy canes to make a heart shape as a festive decoration on your board.
- HERSHEY’S Kisses
- Fresh Fruit – Fresh berries like strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries are great options. As are grapes, pineapple chunks, or slices of apple. Ensure you use fresh fruit rather than frozen, which will be mushy on your board.
TIP! Can’t find the exact waffle mixes and toppings we used? Don’t worry – use whatever products are available to you. That’s the beauty of any type of charcuterie board!
The complete list of ingredients with measurements is on the recipe card at the end of this post.
Step 2 – Cooking Equipment:
You may have the tools you need to set up this board, which include:
- Mickey Waffle Maker – you can’t make Mickey waffles without a Mickey Mouse-shaped waffle maker! This one makes waffles like they have at Disney restaurants, but there are cheaper alternatives that make different-styled Mickey waffles. We used two different sizes and styles of Mickey waffles.
- Electric Mixer – to whisk up the waffle batter.
- Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter – for cutting the breakfast meat.
- Wooden Board – or a platter to place all charcuterie elements on. We used a round board, but any shape you have is fine.
- Small Bowl – for the whipped cream
- Sharp Knife
- Chopping/Cutting Board – to cut and prepare the food.
- Plates – for guests to eat from.
- Charcuterie Utensils – tongs, spoons, etc. You will need them for guests to pick up foods from the charcuterie board and utensils to eat with.
The complete list of ingredients with measurements is on the recipe card at the end of this post. The Purple Pumpkin Blog uses both cups and weighted measurements in its recipes, making American cups and kitchen food scales valuable tools for trying all the recipes. We provide US customary, imperial, and metric measurements. Still, it’s important to note that while you can combine cup measurements with weighted measures, never mix US customary/imperial (pounds, ounces, pints, etc.) with metric (kilograms, grams, liters, etc.).

Step 3 – Make Waffles:
Using a Mickey Waffle Maker, make various waffle flavors according to the package directions. How many waffles you make will depend on how many guests you’re feeding and how hungry they are! Aim for 2-3 waffles per person.
Place the cooked waffles on a large baking tray and keep warm while you make all the Mickey waffles.
TIP! Freeze waffles for a quick Disney-themed treat on busy mornings.
Step 4 – Prepare Breakfast Meats:
Cut the slices of ham and sausage patties into Mickey shapes using a Mickey Mouse Head Cookie Cutter. Cook according to the package direction, and place on a separate baking tray in the oven to keep warm.

Step 5 – Setting Up the Disney Breakfast Charcuterie Board
Place your Mickey waffles around the edge of the board. Then add more waffles and/or breakfast meats stacked offset on top.
Pile the toppings in clusters on the inside edge of the waffles and place a small serving bowl in the center of the board.
Fill the bowl with whipped cream and top with some Christmas sprinkles. Serve, enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
TIP! Store leftover waffles and meats in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in a toaster or oven.
Charcuterie Placement Tips
- Arrange items in uniform patterns on the board.
- Group the same items together.
- Try to keep similar colors separate if possible.
- Fill in all available space.
