Free Printable Inside Out Cupcake Toppers!

With the release of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2 (the sequel to Inside Out, 2015) on June 14, 2024, it is time to update our original Inside Out cupcake toppers! 

They were part of our 100 Days of Disney feature, and we will also update our Inside Out Paper Chains and Inside Out Cupcake Wrappers. But that’s not all; we are creating a new set of printables, including napkin rings, labels for party favors, food flags, party invitations, water bottle labels, and more.

These new printables are perfect for an Inside Out birthday party or Disney’s Inside Out movie night!

But what is Inside Out 2 about? 

Well, Riley, now a teenager, has to deal with adolescence’s typical highs and lows. In Riley’s mind, a demolition crew signifies the chaotic changes she is going through.

One of the new emotions, Anxiety, plays a significant role, highlighting the social anxieties many teens face. The film will follow Riley and her emotions as they manage these new feelings, especially during pivotal moments like making friends and handling stress from activities like her hockey games.

Many beloved voices return, including Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger. New additions include Maya Hawke as Anxiety and Ayo Edebiri as Envy.

Notably, some original cast members like Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader will be replaced by Liza Lapira and Tony Hale, respectively, 

How To Use These Cupcake Toppers

• This set has 12 different cupcake toppers, one for each of the following characters with complementary background colors: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, Disgust, Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, Nostalgia, Riley, and Bing Bong.
• The PDF document (open using Adobe Reader) contains a sheet of mixed toppers and a sheet of each individual character.
• Print as many Inside Out Cupcake Toppers as you need onto good-quality white paper.
• Carefully cut out the cupcake toppers using scissors or a 2″ Circle Punch.
• Attach a cocktail stick to the back of each topper and secure it with sticky tape. You can also use lollipop sticks or sucker sticks.
• An optional extra is then sticking the topper to some cardstock in a complementary color with the cocktail stick sandwiched between.
• Place into decorated cupcakes—let your guests know the toppers are not edible!
• Pair our custom cake toppers with the matching wrappers to really make your dessert table decoration stand out!

More Party Ideas Using The Toppers

You don’t have to use the Inside Out toppers just for cupcakes! Here are some different ways to use them:

• ​Party Activity: Print the two sheets of mixed toppers onto cardstock. Use them to play a game of memory matching!
• Party Bags: Use a hole punch to make holes at the top of each topper and thread some ribbon through. Tie them to party bags for your guests.
• Cup Markers: This idea only works for 12 people or less, but stick toppers to the side of paper party cups using glue dots. Guests will be able to keep track of their cups!
• Ceiling Decoration: Take a length of cotton thread and stick two toppers back to back with the cotton in between at intervals. Hang them from the ceiling or in door frames. Here are example images to demonstrate.
• Not Just Cupcakes Decoration: You can stick them into other foods like doughnuts, pies, or sandwiches. Use them as a drink decoration, or bundle them all together on a large birthday cake!
