Day 12: Flower Power! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019

We strolled back over the bridge to Disney’s BoardWalk, took a couple of photos of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts across the water, and felt compelled to stop for some ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery!

Unfortunately, Ample Hills Creamery has now closed, but I believe another ice cream shop has taken its place.

It was quite busy when we went into the shop, but we didn’t have to wait too long. The last time we came here we ordered a flight of ice creams, but this time we decided to go for a cone and a cup.

It feels a bit silly to write about the ice cream now as the shop is no longer there, but for historically purposes I’m including the details!

As you line up there were a couple of boards explaining how to order your dessert – how to order a cone or a cup, and how to order a sundae.

I honestly cannot remember what we bought, but I know the ice cream desserts were yummy, and we would of course bought again, but can’t!

You could have two scoops of any flavor ice cream, a choices of different cones – chocolate chip, m&m, pretzel, spiral, or waffle cone – or a cup, then add toppings and sprinkles. I don’t seem to have any photos of those, but it looks like we had whipped cream and m&m’s, and cupcake sprinkles.

Here are the flavors that were available on our visit. You could ask for a sample before committing to a flavor too!

Cast your mind back to me saying that some of the décor at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is strange and unusual, and mentioned the creepy kid chairs. Here they are in all their glory!

As well as some other pieces of art? Bric-a-brac? Decor? in the lobby area.
