Frozen Fourth of July Margarita Variations

Here are some variations of the original cocktail recipe you might like to try.

Virgin Frozen Fourth of July Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)

So that non-drinkers can enjoy a cool frozen drink, we simply remove the alcohol and replace it!

Follow the recipe card using the non-alcoholic alternatives listed below instead of the alcoholic ones.

  • For the Red Layer
    • Instead of Cherry Liqueur, use 8 oz Kool-Aid, ready-made
    • 4 oz Sweet and Sour Mix – a non-alcoholic lemon-lime mix.
  • For the White Layer
    • Instead of Tequila and Triple Sec, use 4 oz Lemon Lime Soda
    • 4 oz Coconut Cocktail Mix
    • 2 oz Coconut Syrup
    • 2 oz Coconut Water
  • For the Blue Layer
    • Instead of Tequila and Blue Curaçao, use 4 oz Lemonade
    • 6 oz Sweet and Sour Mix- a non-alcoholic lemon-lime mix.
    • 2 oz Blue Raspberry Syrup

Check for sweetness if serving to kids, as they may not appreciate the sour flavors. You can easily experiment with different syrups and soft drinks.

Frozen Fourth of July Mocktails (Non-Alcoholic Spirits)

For adults who would still like to enjoy the taste of alcohol in their mocktail, you could try non-alcoholic alternatives.

In the UK, try Lyre’s, which is also available on Amazon in the UK and Amazon.com.

Other brands include Strykk (UK) and Ritual (US & Canada). Non-alcoholic spirits are a growing trend, so be on the lookout in your local stores and online.

Follow the recipe card using the non-alcoholic alternatives listed above instead of the alcoholic ones.

Leftover Margaritas!

  • If you have any leftovers from your Fourth of July Margarita, you can store them in airtight containers in the freezer.
  • Consider freezing the leftover margarita in popsicle molds for a boozy frozen treat to enjoy later.

Big Batch Frozen Fourth of July Margaritas

Because this is a layered frozen drink, the easiest way to make a large batch for a crowd would be to multiply the ingredients in the recipe card.

The recipe makes 4 frozen cocktails, so if you need to make it for 16 people, multiply the measurements by 4.

You can then whizz up the multiplied amounts at one time for each of the layers and store in the freezer until ready to mix and serve.

When setting up your bar or cocktail serving area, you could include the following:
