  • Water down some red, green, white, and yellow acrylic craft paint and basecoat the jumbo craft sticks (5 of each color). Watering down the paint will give the sticks a stained effect. Set aside to dry.
    Bright acrylic paint bottles and popsicle sticks for arts and crafts projects.
  • Paint the outside of the metal bucket with red paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second and third coat, if necessary.

  • Draw a line around the center of the bucket with a pencil. This will be your guideline for Santa's belt.

  • Use a ¼"/0.5cm flat paintbrush to paint a band of black paint over your guideline. Set aside to dry. Add a second layer if necessary.

  • Download, print, and cut out the Santa belt template. Trace the buckle pattern on the back of some gold glitter craft foam, then cut out with scissors.

  • Attach the buckle to the front center of the bucket over the black band with a glue gun and glue sticks.

  • Glue white pom poms around the outside edge of the bucket. Then glue more around the inside edge.

  • Write Christmas activities on the dried craft sticks with a pencil, and then with a permanent black marker. You can use our free printable list, or make up your own based on what your family enjoys during the holidays.

  • Fill the bucket with the crinkled paper and insert the craft stick activites into theng to do

  • Remove the sticks from the bucket when you complete the activities, or if you need something to do! Have fun and Merry Christmas!
