What is Remembrance Day?
Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. It is observed on 11 November in most countries to recall the end of hostilities of the First World War on that date in 1918. Hostilities formally ended “at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month”.

If you cannot buy from a volunteer poppy seller, donating to the Poppy Appeal online is one way to help those in need within the Armed Forces community, serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.
The Poppy Shop has many poppy items, including pins, brooches, accessories, and more. If you can’t get out, or if you can’t find a poppy seller this year, this is another way for you to get involved.
100% of the profits from selling poppies go to the Royal British Legion, which helps members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans, and their families. Their support starts after one day of service and continues through life long after service is over.

When should you start wearing a poppy for Remembrance Day?
Many people think wearing a poppy 11 days before Remembrance Day is the best way to honor those impacted by war.
If you wish to do the same, you can start wearing your poppy on October 31st until November 11th.
How To Play Word Scramble
Word scrambles are a fantastic way to test your knowledge and spelling skills in a fun setting.
The puzzle’s name gives it all away – the words (and phrases) are scrambled up, and you must unscramble the letters to decipher them.
You’ll find three levels: easy, medium, and hard, each tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Answers are included.
You may want to give children clues to the answers, as some words may be tricky to decipher.
- Easy Level: Aimed at younger children, this version features 10 single words with the first letter capitalized to serve as a clue. Words like War, Poppy, and Army are scrambled to provide a gentle challenge.
- Medium Level: This set includes 20 single words and phrases with the capitalized first letter. It’s perfect for older children and contains words like Military, Sacrifice, and Remembrance Day.
- Hard Level: Designed for teens and adults, this challenging version features 30 words and longer phrases, all in lowercase, making it a test of true word scramble prowess with words and phrases such as Nineteen Eighteen, Commemorate, and Lest We Forget.
