Build a 4th of July Olaf!

If you have not downloaded any of my Olaf printables before, let me give you the lowdown.

The basic Olaf printable comes with head, body, arms, feet, carrot nose, 5 sets of eyes, eyebrows, hair, and buttons.

I don’t always include all sets of eyes in the regular size (one page) version because they sometimes don’t fit on the same page with other accessories. You can always download the basic Olaf here: A4 paper size / US paper size

  • You will find the download links further down this page surrounded by a purple box. Tap the purple download buttons to save the file(s) to your device.
  • Printables are available in two paper sizes – A4 and US Letter (8.5″ x 11″). Download the size that is appropriate for your printer.

Regular Size Template

The regular size template (pictured at the top of this post) creates a small Olaf, and all the pieces are on one sheet of paper. This size can have some tricky pieces for little kids to cut out, so you may have to do it for them.

For the regular size 4th of July Olaf the pieces are: head, eyes, eyebrows, body (top), body (bottom), buttons, arms, feet, carrot nose, sunglasses, hat, tie, and flag.

Large Size Template

The large size template will give you a much bigger Olaf – about 45cm/18″ tall! The pieces are spread over several sheets of paper.

Apart from maybe the hair and the arms, all the pieces should be simple enough for kids to cut out on their own. But of course, help where necessary.

The large size template includes two heads – one without any features at all, and one with the mouth. All of the eye directions are included, as well as arms, hair, button, feet, carrot nose, body pieces, and the hat, sunglasses, tie, and flag for the 4th of July.

4th of July Craft - Build-An-Olaf

How To Build An Olaf for Independence Day!

Simply print onto thick white paper or thin white card, cut the pieces out (young children may need help) and build a snowman!

You can stick the pieces together if you wish using glue or tape. Or you could use a laminator and laminate the pieces and use them over and over again.

Over the years, readers have shared their Olafs with me and used craft supplies like glitter and cotton wool for snow then mounted them onto large pieces of construction paper. I think this is such a great idea!

If you build an Olaf from one of my printables, please take a picture and share it on social media using the hashtag #TPPBOlaf I would love to see them!
