Earth Day Word Scramble

The name of the puzzle totally gives it all away – the words are scrambled up and you have to unscramble them to decipher the words.

I’ve created 10 Earth Day word scramble puzzles. Each one has 9 words (or phrases or names) related to the environment, ecology, and Earth Day, so that means 90 words and phrases to unscramble!

I have included an answer sheet for each one. You may want to give children some clues to the answers as some of the words may be a bit tricky for them to decipher. Although that is a great learning opportunity for them and a way to learn about Earth Day

The words are in varying difficulty, in number order, with puzzle 1 being the easy and puzzle 10 being the most difficult. Use whichever puzzles are suitable for your child(ren).

What is Earth Day?

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
