Candy Apples at Disney’s Candy Cauldron
Home » Everything Disney »Welcome to Day 30 of 100 Days of Disney here on The Purple Pumpkin Blog! Be sure to check out all of the other posts in this series!
Today I’m talking Candy Apples, which are masterpieces of food art in themselves (and delicious to boot!) and can be bought at various shops around Walt Disney World. The number one place though is Disney’s Candy Cauldron at Downtown Disney.
On our first trip to Walt Disney World in 2011, I kept looking at the candy apples and kept saying to myself that I must buy one…I never did and I totally regretted it! How can you regret not buying a candy apple??! Well, when they look like these bad boys…they are totally awesome right?!
At $9.99 they’re not cheap, but, on our 2013 visit, I saw the Sorcerer Mickey candy apples and they HAD to be mine!! I actually kept it in the fridge of our villa and brought it back to the UK with us…that’s how much sugar and chocolate is encased around the fruit!! It kept fresh for about 10 days!!! For the record, it tasted lush!
You can also watch the cast members make the different candy apples – it’s quite mesmerizing! If you don’t want to buy a character apple, there are the slightly cheaper candy apples covered in things like nuts and sprinkles and chocolate…yummmmmm!! You can eat them on the go if you like – the cast members will happily cut the apple into wedges for you – treat yourself, you’re on holiday!!

I remember watching them make these in Downtown Disney. We had to have the apples as they make them look so tempting. Your posts always remind me of our days in Orlando.
