- Low Calorie Cooking Spray – such as Frylight.
- Beef Stock Cube
- Tomato Purée – also known as Tomato Paste.
- Marmite – adds a depth of flavor to the sauce.
- Rice Vinegar
- Dark Soy Sauce
- Dried Soba Noodles – or medium egg noodles.

How Do I Make Korean-Style Beef Noodles

Korean-Style Beef Noodles
Ingredients
- 6 large garlic cloves
- 40 g ginger peel and roughly chopped
- 1 red chilli deseeded
- Low-calorie cooking spray
- Beef stock cube
- 2 heaped tsp tomato puree tomato paste
- ½ tsp Marmite
- 300 ml boiling water
- 1½ Tbsp rice vinegar
- 4 Tbsp dark soy sauce
- 250 g dried soba noodles or medium egg noodles
- 400 g lean sirloin steak visible fat removed and cut into thin strips
- 600 g mixed stir-fry vegetables
SUGGESTED PRODUCTS
Instructions
- Place the garlic, ginger and chilli in a food processor and blend until fairly smooth.
- Spray a non-stick saucepan with low-calorie cooking spray and place on medium heat.
- Add the garlic paste and fry for 30 seconds. Add stock cube, tomato puree, Marmite and boiling water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the vinegar and soy sauce and bring to the boil. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the package instructions and drain well.
- Spray a wok or large frying pan and low calorie spray and place on high heat.
- Add beef strips and stir fry for 3-5 minutes. Transfer to plate and keep warm.
- Add the vegetables and a splash of water to wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Return the beef to wok, add the noodles and sauce and simmer to heat through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
