Luck of the Irish Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)
Make this mocktail version of the Luck of the Irish Cocktail without the alcohol—perfect for teens, designated drivers, or anyone who still wants a festive green drink on St. Patrick’s Day.
To create a non-alcoholic version, replace the whiskey and schnapps with bright fruit juices while keeping the same tropical flavor profile and vibrant green color. Combine 3 oz (90 ml) pineapple juice, 1 oz (30 ml) peach nectar or peach juice, 1 oz (30 ml) lime juice, and 1 drop green food coloring in a shaker filled with ice.
Shake until well chilled, then pour into a glass filled with fresh ice and top with 2 oz (60 ml) lime sparkling soda or lemon-lime soda. Garnish with maraschino cherries and fresh mint leaves for a festive St. Patrick’s Day drink.
Virgin Luck of the Irish with Non-Alcoholic Spirits
For adults who would still like to enjoy the taste of alcohol in their mocktail, you could try non-alcoholic alternatives such as Lyres (UK and USA), Strykk (UK), and Ritual (US & Canada).
- Instead of Jameson, use a Non-Alcoholic Whiskey
- Instead of Peach Schnapps, use Peach Nectar
Follow the recipe card using the non-alcoholic alternatives listed above instead of the alcoholic ones.
Big Batch of Luck of the Irish Punch
Hosting a party? Turn this drink into a St. Patrick’s Day party punch! Simply use the “1 part” method (below) to scale the recipe.
Mix together:
- 3 parts Irish Whiskey
- 2 parts Peach Schnapps
- 2 parts Pineapple Juice
- 3 parts Lime Soda
Add a drop or two of green food coloring until you reach the desired shade.
Serve in drinks dispensers or pitchers, or go retro and serve it from a punch bowl. Add plenty of ice to your serving container to keep the cocktail chilled. Garnish with cherries and mint leaves for a festive touch.
What Does “1 Part” Mean?
It’s an easy way to scale cocktail recipes up or down. Simply choose any measuring container—such as a shot glass, cup, or jug—and use it for each ingredient. As long as the ratios stay the same, the quantities will remain balanced.
So whether you’re making one drink or a big batch, the recipe always works!
Saving Leftovers
While it’s best to enjoy the cocktail fresh to savor its flavors, you may have some left at the end of your party—don’t let it go to waste!
- Transfer it to an airtight pitcher or container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Or, to make it last longer, turn it into Luck of the Irish Granita!
- Granita is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water, and various flavorings. Originally from Sicily.
- Transfer the cocktail to a shallow freezer-safe container and freeze it for 6 hours (or overnight). If desired, add some simple syrup or another sweetener.
- Use a fork to break the frozen cocktail into small pieces. Serve and enjoy!
- Or pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze. Use the cocktail cubes to chill and flavor future cocktails without diluting the drink.
Sip, Savor & Share!
This Luck of the Irish Cocktail is a fun, festive drink perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends and family. With its fruity flavors, bright green color, and easy preparation, it’s a great addition to any holiday party menu.

Hi,
If I wanted to make this for 6 people – how would I do the parts? How much should I make at once?
Thanks
Michelle

As long as you use the same measuring container (glass, cup, jug, etc) for the “1 part”, the ratios will be correct and you can make as much as you need to.
Or multiply the recipe by 3 (it makes 2 drinks) to get the measured quantity for 6 people. Hope that helps!
