This Valentine’s Day Craft is super adorable and super easy to make! It is a cute handmade gift to give to your loved one and will look great hung up all-year-round! The LOVE wall hanging comes together quickly and uses just 3 materials and some hot glue – an embroidery hoop, felt, and Scrabble tiles!
Valentine’s Day Craft
How cute is this Valentine’s wall hanging craft? I love things that I can be hung up on the wall, and have lots of different types of wall hangings all around my house.
I also love quick and simple crafts and this one that can be made for Valentine’s Day (or a birthday or anniversary), certainly falls into those categories!
White felt is placed into a small embroidery hoop, then a red felt heart is stuck on top (making this a no-sew project too!).
Scrabble tiles spelling out LOVE are stuck on top and finally a length of ribbon to form a hanging loop is attached.
Materials & Tools Used in This Craft
Full instructions are found in the printable tutorial card at the end of this post, but here is a quick outline so you know what to expect from the craft.
I highly recommend always reading everything all the way through before starting any project so you understand all the steps required.
- Small Wood Embroidery Hoop – approx 4″/10cm
- White Felt
- Red Felt
- Scrabble Tiles – to spell out L O V E. You could use an old Scrabble set (found in a thrift store for example) or they can be found in craft stores/online
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Ribbon (or string) – for hanging

LOVE Wall Hanging Craft
Materials
- Small Wood Embroidery Hoop approx 4″/10cm
- White Felt
- Red Felt
- Wooden/Scrabble Letter Tiles to spell LOVE
- Red Ribbon or string for hanging
TOOLS
- Hot glue gun
Instructions
- Cut the white felt to fit the embroidery hoop and place it between the two hoops. Pull tight to remove any wrinkles and tighten the hoops to secure.
- Use scissors to trim any excess felt at the back to make it nice and tidy.
- Cut out a red felt heart, sized to fit the inside of the hoop.
- Use a few dots of hot glue to stick the heart onto the center of the white felt.
- Add glue to each of the letters and stick them in place across the heart. Leave all to dry.
- Use the ribbon to create a hanging loop and tie it to the screw at the top of the hoop.
