If you love collecting Disney memorabilia, you are going to love The World of Miss Mindy presents Disney, part of Enesco’s Disney Showcase Collection! Miss Mindy’s collection has a whimsical charm, and plays with the characters’ lines — exaggerating their head shapes and enlarging the expressive eyes, whilst making other features more petite.

Regular readers of The Purple Pumpkin Blog will know that I am a huge Disney fan and collector of Disney memorabilia, and I’m so excited to be showcasing several pieces from the collection.

The World Of Miss Mindy: Disney Figurines

Miss Mindy inherited her flair for art from her grandmother who was an ink and paint girl for the Walt Disney Studios in the 1930s and 1940s. Miss Mindy’s world is a circus of the unexpected. Her extravagant kingdom re-imagines Disney’s most iconic and beloved characters and presents them in a unique new collection.

The launch collection comprises of twenty one figurines in differing sizes, the larger figurines have diorama scenes within the characters dresses that light up to add to their whimsical charm. Five classic Disney films are represented in the offering, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast along with Fantasia, Mickey & Minnie and Tinker Bell.

The Disney figurines that I’m showcasing are all made from resin, hand painted (so unique variations are to be expected) and packed in a branded gift box. They are not a toy or children’s product. Intended for adults only. They make wonderful gifts for loved ones, or as a gift to yourself! With so many different styles and characters, it is easy to become enthralled, and find yourself becoming a collector!

Alice in Wonderland is such a wonderfully weird, and whimsical film and I think is one of the most perfect set of characters for this collection. The Queen of Hearts figurine stands at 27cm high, and even though I knew that measurement before I received her, I couldn’t believe how big she is! The Queen of Hearts is a real showstopper.

The Queen is ready to play her favourite game – croquet – although the mallet is a flamingo and the ball is a hedgehog! Sitting atop her crown is the mischievous, grinning Cheshire Cat, trying to keep his presence a secret from this Disney Villain!

This resin figurine has a light up diorama scene featuring the Queens Card Guards and includes 3 x LR41/AG3 batteries.

I love how vibrant and colourful The Queen of Hearts figurine is, and the cut out diorama makes it so different from other figurines that I have.

There are other Disney Villains in this collection which I have listed below, and quite honestly, I now need the whole set! The Disney Princesses in this range also feature a diorama, but are slightly shorter than the Villains.

He’s late. He’s late, for a very important date!

The White Rabbit is featured here working for The Queen of Hearts with a thick aqua ruff collar, monocle, bugle and he also sports the Queen’s signature heart symbol on the front of his top.

Standing at 10cm high, and full of detail. You’ll notice that he’s actually standing on top of his pocket watch, and his little cheeks are red from all the huffing and puffing into the bugle! I think he is adorable.

Should you wish to have a complete collection of Alice in Wonderland figurines from Miss Mindy, there is also two Card Guards – Ace of Hearts and Three of Spades, which are slightly taller at 13cm and are ready to fit for their Queen!

Miss Mindy: Alice In Wonderland Figurine

Alice has taken a bite of the cake that she is holding and shrunk down in size! She couldn’t look any more innocent and sweet than she does sitting on the toadstool, with a pansy for company.

Though she may be small, she is full of detail, like her iconic blue dress with white apron – which has been tied at the back with a big bow; as well as her golden yellow hair and black hair bow. Lots of lovely detail too on the toadstool, leaves, and pansy. This figurine is 15cm high.

Miss Mindy: Dopey Figurine

Dopey is my favourite of the Seven Dwarfs, and how adorable is this figurine? With his little love heart pupils – no doubt after Snow White gave him a kiss on the forehead as he went to work in the mine with his fellow men.

Since Dopey is so small, his tunic is way too big, and I love how that detail hasn’t been lost in this figurine. And his big ears which he can flutter when he’s happy or excited haven’t been missed either!

Dopey stands 10cm tall, and further characters in this collection are Grumpy, Snow White, and the Evil Queen. I think it would be cool to see a full set of the Seven Dwarfs.

Miss Mindy: Sorcerer Mickey Mouse Figurine

Sorcerer Mickey Mouse is so iconic – I love him! Walt Disney himself told the world to remember that it all started with a Mouse, and I’m happy to have this cute figurine in my collection.

With his red cloak and blue pointy Sorcerer’s hat, Mickey Mouse stands 14cm tall, and has a cheeky smile on his face. If you’ve seen the film Fantasia, you know what sorts of trouble Sorcerer Mickey gets himself into!

Lumiere is one of my favourite characters from Beauty and The Beast, and Miss Mindy has given such a cute spin to this enchanted candelabra, you can’t help buy love him. The candle has a matte finish and the flames are shiny. He stands at 10.5cm.

Lumiere is not alone in this collection – there is his girlfriend, Plumette; his friends Mrs. Potts and Chip, and Cogsworth; and of course the girl who would save them from their curse – Belle.

Cogsworth is a bit of a busy-body, but he always means well! This 10cm high figurine has such charm and lots of lovely detail. With a matte brown wood effect body, and a shiny face.

I’ve always loved how the fancy detailing on this timepiece create’s Cogsworth details – like his arms, hair, and moustache!
