These no bake Oreo cookie truffles are my new favourite thing! I’ve seen them several times on Pinterest and whilst reading blogs and thought it was about time I had a go at making them too. Again, super easy and can easily be decorated to match your party!

So, how do you make these? Well, grab a packet or two of Oreos and blitz them to crumbs in a blender. Turn out into a bowl and then add a dessertspoonful of soft cream cheese and mix together until everything comes together, into almost like a dough. You may need to add a little more cream cheese; but basically you want to be able to grab teaspoonfuls of the mixture and roll into bite-sized balls.

Once you’ve formed all your cookie ‘dough’ into balls, place onto a tray lined with greaseproof paper and put into the freezer to harden up for about 20 minutes or so.

You can coat these truffles in either melted chocolate or candy melts. I went down the red candy melt route and wish I hadn’t – I am starting to really despise candy melts!! I can’t melt them properly no matter what I do – and I always follow the instructions! Anyway, melt your gloop of choice and coat each Oreo truffle ball.

I did mine in two ways – one just dropping them into the melted candy, and fishing out with a fork before rolling around in sprinkles – that’s how I ended up with the first photo mess, which lucky for me, could be called Blood and Bones Oreo Truffles!!

The other method was using skewers – I poked them into the truffles, dipped into the melts, then sprinkles and then left to solidify (didn’t take long – minutes actually!) Once set, I removed the skewer and placed them all into cupcake liners.

They were soooooooo good – despite their fugly appearance! I will be making these again and will persevere with the candy melts. Do you have trouble with this product? Am I doing something wrong?! I would love to hear your story!
