Give The Gift Of Cookies

So yesterday I shared a delish double chocolate and almond cookie recipe with you, and today I’m going to share how I have gift wrapped them to give out as gifts…
Who wouldn’t love to receive a jar of yummy cookies for Christmas? I know I wouldn’t turn that gift away!!
All you need is a suitable jar – I used kilner jars from Ikea. When baking your cookies make sure that you roughly measure them out so that they fit ;)
I created some tags to attach to the jars – one I made with a border, and the other I left plain so I could mount onto some scrapbooking paper.
You can download them for your own personal use using the links below.

I punched a hole in the corner of the tag so that I could attach them to the jars. I used green raffia, but you could use string or ribbon. I also attached a cute, small Christmas ornament to make them festive.
After the photo shoot for today’s make for Cook, Craft, Create: December 2012, I then thought how nice it would be to put these into gift bags along with the recipe so that the recipient could make the cookies themselves! So, if you’d like to do that, here is a recipe card that you can print off:

I’ve shared other cookie recipes recently on The Purple Pumpkin Blog, so you could give the gift of these cookies too!
