Freeze Ahead Marinated Pork Chops
Home » COOK » Recipes » Meat & Fish Recipes » Pork Recipes »Last weekend, I told you how I had batch cooked some food for my sister and brother-in-law to help them in their first week as new parents. At the same time, I prepared food for us as well, and one of the meals that I got ready well in advance was Freeze Ahead Marinated Pork Chops.

Freeze Ahead Marinated Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 pork loin chops
- 4 Tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Place the raw meat into a freezer-proof bag, add the ingredients and squish together to get the marinade all over the meat.
- Place the bag into the freezer.
- When ready to cook the pork chops, defrost overnight in the fridge.
- Grill until cooked through and serve with your choice of sides.

Well, I defrosted them yesterday and we had them for dinner last night, and not blowing my own trumpet too much, but they tasted a-ma-zing!
I don’t know if the freezing of them in the marinade helped, but it really penetrated into the meat giving it a great flavour throughout. Since they had a slight oriental vibe to them, I served them up with some egg noodles and vegetables.

The recipe states:
Freeze on day of making. Does that mean that the meat has to be froze the same day as cooked? * or a typo, lol

Oh gosh, such an old recipe of mine! I must have thought it was clear that I meant freeze them raw once made and in the bag. So, no you don’t have to cook then freeze, you can freeze raw (I’ve updated the recipe card) and then thaw and cook when ready!
