Free Printable NHS Bunting

I originally made this free printable NHS bunting during the pandemic, and with the NHS celebrating its 75th birthday this year, the printables have received an update.

You will find the free printables at the end of this post, but first, a word about the NHS and how they will be celebrating their big milestone.

The NHS came into being on 5th July 1948, and it was set up to provide health services based on three key principles:

  • That it meets the needs of everyone.
  • That it be free at the point of delivery.
  • That it be based on clinical need, not the ability to pay.

Our NHS is so valuable, and I’m so, SO glad that we have it here in the UK.

The work that doctors, nurses, and medical staff do is immeasurable. Not to mention all the other workers in the NHS who are there on the frontlines, too, including admin, cleaners, porters, drivers, and so many more.

There are many ways you can support the NHS, and there are several events planned, which include your opportunity to host an NHS Big Tea from Saturday, 1 July to Sunday, 9 July

And, of course, we can show our support from home with something as simple as hanging out this free printable NHS bunting to show that we are thinking of them and thank them for their service.

I also want to mention the Together Coalition runs the annual Thank You Day (which started with the #ClapForCarers movement in 2020), and they have a list of ways you can get involved, including learning ‘Thank You For Being a Friend’ and joining the national sing-along to be announced in the next coming weeks

How To Use NHS Bunting

  • Download the free printable file to your device.
  • Using a printer, print as many bunting flags as you need onto white paper.
  • Cut out and then punch a hole in the top corners.
  • Thread onto ribbon or string and hang where desired.
  • You could laminate the flags before punching holes and threading them onto some string. Just remember to leave a little edge around the flag when cutting out from the laminating sheets to prevent them from coming apart.
