Free Printable Christmas Bunting
Bunting flags (or pennants) are an easy, almost instant party decoration!
I love making strings of bunting and using them to decorate for so many different occasions!
I’ve made this set of free printable Christmas bunting with Christmas parties in mind, but you can of course use them as seasonal decor too!
Hang inside or outside your home, workplace, care home, hospital ward, or anywhere that you want to add some holiday cheer
There are 8 different festive designs on these holiday flags with candy canes, snowflakes, ornaments, trees, and snow, in shades of red and green.
The whole set is made up of 83 flags!
That is made up of 8 blanks, plus two different sets of the alphabet, numbers, and an exclamation point.
You are then free to mix and match the bunting to hang up different seasonal greetings!
I will be adding to this set of Christmas Party Printables, including favor bag labels, cupcake toppers, straw flags, and more.
The full list can be found at the end of this post and will be updated as each free Christmas Party printable is uploaded.

Strings of Christmas Bunting
Materials
- Christmas Bunting printable – download in the blog post
- White Printer Paper
TOOLS
- [Single Hole Punch]
- Sticky tape
- [Laminator (optional)]
- [Laminating Sheets (optional)]
- String
Instructions
- There are two ways you can make bunting and I will describe both here. Both methods start with printing as many sheets of bunting as you need. There are two flags/pennants per page.
- Cut a piece of string to the length you desire (leaving extra at the ends to tie bunting up).
- Fold-Over Method: Cut the flags out, including the fold-over tab at the top. Score along the line to fold over the blank tab. Hang the flags along the string and when happy with their placement use some sticky tape to stick the flap down at the back. Hang up your bunting!
- Hole Punch Method: Cut the flags out and cut away the fold-over tab as you won’t need that. Use a single hole punch to punch out holes in the top two corners of the flag. Thread the string through the holes and hang up your bunting!
- You can laminate your flags if you like so that they last a bit longer – especially if hanging outside.
- Cut the flags first and then lay between laminating sheets and run through your laminator.
- Carefully cut around each flag again leaving a small gap so that the laminate stays together!
- Punch holes, string up and hang the bunting.
