Free Printable Adult Coloring Pages
I’ve shared a lot of coloring pages for kids on my blog – but now it’s the turn for some free adult coloring pages!
Coloring is an activity that I love – whether it is some I’ve drawn myself, or in coloring books or downloaded coloring sheets.
I also love to digitally color and I’ve got several coloring apps that I use. My favorite one is Oil Painting – Color By Number, and I can get lost in it for hours!
I really don’t mind what I color in, so I’m equally happy adding my flair to a sweet little unicorn as I am to a more intricate mandala design!
Benefits of Adult Coloring
There has been a trend of adult coloring books for a while now and in this digital world, it is a great way to relax.
Some of the benefits of coloring for adults include:
- Reduced anxiety and stress – as it relaxes the fear center of your brain. It induces a sort of meditation as you color, bringing mindfulness and quietness to your thoughts.
- Improves motor skills and vision – remember as a kid being taught to stay inside the lines? That’s those motor skills being learned! Plus you get the chance to be creative with color and pattern making.
- Helps to improve sleep – instead of reaching for your phone or tablet, reach for a coloring page to relax instead. The light from screens reduces your levels of the sleep hormone, melatonin. Paper and pencils will not…
- Improves focus – while you might color in with seemingly whimsical abandon, your brain is focusing on selecting colors, staying between the lines, creating color patterns and more.
And there are so many more – ultimately, coloring in is GOOD FOR YOU! So try and dedicate a little time to it to help calm your soul and allow you to become a little more creative.
Colouring Pages For Adults
You don’t have to be a great artist to color pictures in, you just need a pack of coloring pencils or marker pens – my favorites are Crayola Supertips, and add color to the page in whatever fashion you like.
You could use good old-fashion crayons or even paints if you prefer – your coloring book/page is your personal art piece – use the materials that you enjoy using.

Those are great coloring in pictures you have made available for people to download and color for free. Thank you. My sister in law is starting to suffer from dementia but coloring in is an excellent way of helping her to focus on one thing for half an hour or an hour. I had been providing fiber tip pens for her to use but I see that crayons or pencils may be better for her to use.
