Valentine’s Day Coloring Book

This awesome coloring book is packed with 10 pages to color in (including the front cover) and you can print off as many pages from the book as you like.

Pick your favorites and print off just those coloring pages, or print them all off and color to your heart’s content!

For demonstration purposes, I’ve digitally colored the front cover, but it is blank in the free printable.

The cover of the book says “Valentine’s Coloring* Book” and has several different images – a teddy bear, bumblebee, cupcake, jar of hearts and an elephant blowing heart-shaped bubbles!

*or Colouring, depending on which version you download

All of the coloring sheets in this Valentine’s Day colouring book are different and most of them have a quote/phrase too. Here is a description of each one:

  • Two cute sloths with lots of hearts and the phrase “I love hanging out with you”
  • A sweet Llama wearing heart-shaped sunglasses with a giant heart in the background, and it says “Llama just say I love you”
  • Two frogs are sitting on a lily pad surrounded by hearts and flowers and the phrase “My heart leaps for you”
  • The quote “I whale always love you” hangs above an adorable whale with love hearts above it
  • A cute little crab with lots of hearts and the phrase “A pinch of love for you”
  • The words FREE HUGS sits above a bunch of cacti!
  • This page is an activity – fill up the empty jar with candy hearts
  • Two slices of pizza are saying “you got a pizza my heart”
  • A sweet owl surrounded by a circle of leaves and hearts.

You’ll find the download for the coloring book at the end of the post, surrounded by a purple box.

As with pretty much all my printables I’ve provided two paper sizes – A4 and US Letter (8.5″ x 11″) – use which size is appropriate for your printer.

Suggested Art Supplies

I have a problem… I love art supplies! I like to keep a good stash so that I am always ready when my nieces and nephews come to visit. You don’t need all the things on my suggested art supplies list, but I wanted to share some of my favorites with you.

Markers

You can use whatever art supplies you like to bring these coloring pages to life. I love Crayola Super Tips – they come in boxes of various amounts – I’ve got the 100 count box as you can never have too many colors!

They’re kid-friendly, washable, and they also draw thick and thin lines so you can color with precision, as well as cover larger areas.

Crayons

If your child (or you!) prefers to use crayons, I don’t think you can go wrong with classic Crayolas, again the come in various counts.

There are also glitter Crayola crayons and metallic Crayola crayons which will add some shimmer and sparkle.

Coloring Pencils

You’re going to think I’m biased towards the Crayola brand, but I’m not! They just happen to make awesome and affordable art supplies that are safe for kids to use! So try out their colored pencils, because I really don’t think you can go wrong with Crayolas for coloring!

They also have fun scented pencils which will no doubt bring some of Valentine’s coloring pages alive with smells!

For older children, and adults who may prefer to blend their colors, try the Arteza brand which is very affordable. Slightly more expensive, but amazing pencils for coloring enthusiasts, are Prismacolor.

Paints

Up next, paints – specifically watercolors – which I love using. I bought this Arteza Kid’s Watercolor Kit for my 6-year-old niece and she loves it. It comes with 36 colors, a water brush, and a watercolor pad.

Arteza also has a paint set for kids with 25 colors and a regular paintbrush. (There are Crayola paints too!)

Glitter

And finally, GLITTER! Add some sparkle to your coloring pages with glitter, because everything is awesome with glitter!

I think glitter glue is the easiest to use as you just apply directly without having to worry about lots of loose glitter going everywhere. Surprise, surprise, my suggestion is Crayola! (I think it’s because I know it’s a brand that is available worldwide, and my readers are far-flung around the globe.)

They have a 25 count set, and a 9 count set of glitter glue. Crayola’s glitter glue is also washable, so you don’t have to panic if it gets onto skin or clothes.
