DIY Body Scrubs & Bath Bombs make lovely homemade gifts for Christmas or throughout the year. Perfect for family and friends who deserve some gorgeous pampering! They’d also be great for birthdays, Mother’s/Father’s/Grandparents day, anniversaries, and even as teacher gifts at the end of the school year.
Some of the supplies used in making these body scrubs and bath bombs can be found at home, so you might be able to get started making them right away!
The two main ingredients in body scrubs are usually sugar and coconut oil – both of which I know we have in the kitchen. Some use other kitchen staples like olive oil, honey, fresh herbs, and citrus fruits. There are some bath scrub “recipes” in this roundup that I could go and make right now without the need to buy special ingredients or supplies.
Bath bombs do require some more specialised supplies like citric acid, plus cornstarch (corn flour) and baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) which you may have in your store cupboard; as well as moulds to form them in.
Many of these bath scrubs and bombs use essential oils to add fragrance – a little goes a long way. I don’t know too much about essential oils, but always follow the instructions given. And then there are other natural ingredients you could use like dried lavender, tea leaves, and dried rose petals.
To turn these pampering products into lovely homemade gifts, place the body scrubs into glass jars decorated ribbon, twine, or string, and don’t forget to add a tag or label. Bath bombs could go inside cellophane bags, or organza bags, or into a box with some tissue paper.
As with all of my roundups, the links to these DIY Body Scrubs & Bath Bombs from some amazing blogs around the world open in a new window so that you don’t lose your place on the list.
