50 Popcorn Recipes
I remember the excitement of hearing the corn kernels popping in the saucepan, as my mum made a batch of popcorn for my sister and I. It was so funny when she lifted the lid when the popcorn was ready, and a few would pop out into the air, tumbling to the ground as we would try to catch them. We could never decide between salty or sweet popcorn, so it was always a mix of both, and we would munch through a bowl while watching our favourite movies on video! Such memories!
Back in my day (which makes me sound ancient!) you could only get salty or sweet popcorn – or maybe caramel if the cinema you went to sold it – at least in the UK. To be fair they are traditional flavours, aren’t they? The fact that I’ve rounded up 50 popcorn recipes astounds me! Who knew it was such a versatile snack?

Popcorn is such a classic snack food, and I think you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn’t like popcorn! It’s so easy to make at home – either the classic way in a saucepan, in the microwave, in an instant pot, and not forgetting popcorn makers.
Plus watching movies at home can be better than the cinema can’t it? I know we prefer to stay in with a movie!
Popcorn is made to be shared – making it a perfect snack for watching a movie, or for serving at a party. But if you want a bowl of it all to yourself, that’s all good too!
Speaking of parties, I’ve got several free printable popcorn boxes available on my blog. There are popcorn cones too! Just print off as many as you need, cut out, assemble, and you’re good to go!
This round-up of 50 Awesome Popcorn Recipes not only includes lots of different popcorn flavour ideas, but also some fun popcorn and snack mixes which you great for themed movie nights and parties, as well as for seasonal events like Halloween or Christmas (to name just a couple).
As with all of my roundups, there are ideas from my blog as well as from lots of fab blogs from around the world. I have made all of links to these popcorn recipes open in a new window so that you don’t lose your place on the list. The list corresponds with the photo above it – so that you can get an idea what the finished dish should look like. Enjoy!
