I organised several games for my sister's Cocktails & Dreams Hen Party, some were on the X-Rated side, that you would only play with your girl friends! The rest, were quite safe to play in mixed company - both young and old! I'm going to go through the games I set up that are U-Rated that would be ideal for a bridal shower or any other wedding related event you might be planning, including games for at the dinner table during the wedding lunch/dinner.
The first game is 'Guess the Famous Brides'. I went online and downloaded a bunch of images of famous celebrity brides, put a big question mark over their faces and everyone had to guess who was who!
I printed, cut out and pinned all the pictures to a cork board, I could have made this a lot prettier of course, but it functioned as it should! I scribbled the answer on the back of each picture, and wrote a number on the front of each one. I also printed off an answer sheet for everyone to fill in.

After we were all done puzzling, I unpinned each bride and read out the answers. A great game! I even had to puzzle my way through as I forgot so many of them, even though I'd designed the game in the first place
Next game up - 'How Well Do You Know The Bride?' I printed off a sheet with a bunch of questions about the bride (or you could do bride and groom if doing a mixed shower) and whilst the bride filled out the answers - we all did too.

'Famous Couples' was the next game I designed, printing off a sheet with a list of real and not-so real famous couples - giving one half, and the player filling in the other half.

Another wedding related game I thought up was 'Traditional Wedding Anniversary Gifts' Everyone knows that silver is for 25 years wed, but what is crystal or wine for?! I gave a list of the traditional gifts given at each wedding anniversary and the accompanying numbers - just fill in the blanks. A tough game!

When we were kids, we played a game called 'Name, Country, Fruit & Veg' where you went through the alphabet and had to write in each category for the letter picked. As I grew up, I found out that this game is Scattegories! So I created a list of wedding related categories, and created 'Wedding Scattergories' and printed off sheets for each player. I also printed and cut out little slips with each letter of the alphabet and placed in a cup for us to pick out. It's better to play this with a time limit, and I really enjoy this game - wedding related or not!

The final game is a spin on the board game of the same name, but tweaked - 'Articulate'. I printed off slips with wedding related words, folded them up and put them in a pot. Each person takes it in turns to pick out a word and describe it without using the word on the piece of paper. You could do the same, but mime it out instead, making for a game of wedding charades.
