Twinkie Mummies
Home » COOK » Recipes » Holiday Recipes » Halloween Recipes »I saw some really cute dessert ideas whilst travelling through Blogland and Pinterest, and a couple of times I saw mummys on sticks…made from twinkies…which we can’t buy here in the UK…However, my brother, after his recent trip to the USA, brought me back some, so I was able to make them after all! Woohoo!
You could make them using yum yums – I’m sure that’s what they’re called – like long doughnuts from the bakers! You could also use an iced bun!
I’m afraid I don’t have the in-progress photos for these twinkie mummies…I didn’t take any >_< but I’ll tell you how to make them – they’re easy peasy!
Take a twinkie and impale it onto a lollipop stick – put in the fridge to get cold. Then, melt some white chocolate (or white candy melts) and dip each twinkie into the melted goo, covering completely, including part of the stick where it goes in. Lay on some greaseproof paper, and then put into the fridge to set.
Melt some more chocolate (or re-melt what you had) and using a spoon, wave the melted white stuff over each twinkie to create bandages. Stick on some eye sprinkles, and you’re all done!
I wrapped my twinkies up in cellophane and tied with ribbon…sugar overload!

These are brilliant if I can get them to look as nice I may use them at my wedding as a kiddies favour. :)

What a fun favour! If you do decide to make them, please share them with me – I’d love to see them x
