Toilet Roll Pumpkins

I’m aiming to do a few more crafts this week – although with a lot of my craft stuff still packed away, I’m finding that a bit tricky at the moment! I’ve begun the third week of Crafty October with Toilet Roll Pumpkins! For Christmas and Halloween I often decorate all around the house…including the bathroom! Last year I made Halloween Handwash, and this year I’ve prettied up the toilet rolls to look like pumpkins!!
They’re really easy to make, all you’ll need is some large sheets of orange tissue paper and some green card.
Fold the tissue paper in half lengthways and then place the toilet roll at one end, roughly in the middle and roll to cover up with the tissue paper. Tuck the ends into the tube and that’s your pumpkin part made.
To make the stem, leaves and tendrils, cut out a strip of green card and roll up into a stalk. Cut a square of card into leaves and poke a hole in the middle to pop the stalk through. Finally, for the tendrils cut a thin long strip of card and curl using a blunt edge – I used the side of a ruler. Poke the tendrils in between the stalk and the leaf and then place on top of the toilet roll pumpkins, pushing in slightly to stay in place – you could add a little glue dot if you wish.
And that’s it – Toilet Roll Pumpkins. Done!
I am hosting a month long Halloween Link Party to celebrate Crafty October and would love for you to share your Halloween ideas – crafts, recipes, costumes, parties…anything goes, as long as it is family friendly! It’s my favourite time of year, (as you may well know!) and I can’t wait to see what you link up!

Oh what a great idea. Much better than unsightly rolls on display – shame there’s not a way to decorate theone in use too lol :O)
