This free printable Mardi Gras Word Search is an awesome activity for Fat Tuesday! Word searches are a great way for kids to improve their spelling, and their concentration, as well as a lot of fun to do!

Mardi Gras Word Search
There are actually TWO word searches for Mardi Gras included in this free printable!
Each one has 20 words/phrases to find on the grid.
The first Mardi Gras word search has words associated with Mardi Gras and all of the festivities that take place.
The second printable word search has a list of different words associated with food and drinks that people enjoy during the celebrations.
The words may appear horizontally, vertically or diagonally, but forwards only.
As they are found, cross the words/phrases from the list.
I like to use highlighter pens to mark words when I find them, as opposed to crossing them through. Highlighting the words is best for children as the letters can still be clearly seen (useful when words cross on the grid).
Also included in the free printable is the answer sheet to both of the puzzles should you have trouble finding all of the words/phrases.
