- This is a great way to play from afar using services like Zoom.
- Digital cards can also save printer ink! Play on your phone or tablet and use the edit function to mark off the cards.
- Print off the game boards and calling cards you want to use. The full-size bingo boards might suit little kids and senior players.
For those looking to host a bigger game, we offer an expanded set of bingo cards (36 total) in the Purple Pumpkin Printables Shop. This allows for more players and even more fun!
How To Set Up The Bingo Game
- You can download the free printable game file to your device (the purple download box is at the bottom of this post).
- Print the bingo boards in the size you require. If printing the small cards, cut the page in half so each player has one.
- Print and cut the bingo call sheet along the lines, fold the cards in half and in half again, and place them in a bowl.
- Print and cut the bingo tokens if you are using them—each player needs 9 OR 25
- Alternatively, if you don’t want to print out the tokens, you can use dot markers or bingo markers (also called bingo daubers) to mark off each image as it is called.
- You could also use Bingo Chips or other small items to cover the festive bingo cards.
Tips for Best Results
- For the best experience, print the entire bingo set on white cardstock or high-quality printer paper.
- Laminating the boards makes them durable and compatible with dry-erase markers, so you can use them year after year.
- If you laminate the calling cards, shuffle them, and draw them like playing cards.
How to Play Picture Bingo:
If you don’t know how to play bingo, here is a quick rundown.
- Assign someone to be the bingo caller.
- All players receive their own bingo cards and a set of tokens (if using) or a bingo dauber.
- Each card has a FREE SPACE in the center. Players can mark this off at the start of the game.
- Decide the winning straight line(s): horizontal lines, vertical lines, two lines, or diagonal lines. Other winning combos are four corners or a full board for a Full House.
- The bingo caller pulls out one of the calling cards and calls it out to the players.
- You can hold up the cards to show players the image they need to mark on their cards.
- We have included large cards ideal for classroom use or care home/retirement community settings.
- The players then cover that picture on their bingo cards.
- The winner is the first lucky player to complete the winning line(s) and shout BINGO!
- For added fun, why not have prizes for the winners? Check online for Olympic party favors like medals, pins, or candy.
How To Play Virtual Bingo
- The digital versions of our printable bingo cards allow you to play online with friends and family via services like Zoom.
- Or if you want to play bingo but have run out of ink/don’t want to print out traditional cards.
- Send each player a different digital bingo card that they can save to their phone or tablet and use to play this fun game.
- Play the game as usual, calling out the bingo images, and have players mark off their digital cards with the edit/markup feature available on most phones and tablets.
- Alternatively, they can print their own bingo cards and play the traditional way.
- You can download the Single Cards in the download area. Please note that the cards are graphic files that can be resized and printed to fit your paper size.
- Each bingo card is available as a single page, so all players can receive a different one. These single files are zipped into a ZIP file, which you can unzip with WinZip, which is usually found on most computers. We zip and open our files with WinRAR.
