Watermelon I Spy Game
I Spy is such a classic game – spotting things when you are out on a road trip, or just playing it at home when you can’t go outside. When I was a kid it would be verbal as you announced “I spy with my little eye something beginning with…” and everyone would take a guess.
This free printable I Spy game with a watermelon theme for summer takes it a little step further and can be played solo during some quiet time.
For competitive kids, set the timer and see how fast they can find all of the objects. Or race against another person to see who can find everything first!
How To Play Watermelon I Spy
There are two difficulty levels with this free printable – one has fewer objects to find and is easier for younger children. The other is a lot more challenging!
The I Spy worksheet is split into two sections – the I Spy section has a jumble of different watermelon-themed objects to look through and find and the answer section has the objects that are in the jumbled part with a box next to it to record how many there are.
- The easy I Spy sheet has got 6 different objects to find
- The hard I Spy sheet has got 15 different objects to find
- The answers are on a separate sheet.
Or you could play the game the other way around – use the answer sheet to look for the number of each object in the I Spy section and cross it off or draw a circle around it.
There are no hard and fast rules!
For parents, I Spy worksheets are a great boredom buster! Print a few copies and keep them stashed in your bag to pull out when you need the kids to sit still/be quiet! For example, waiting for an appointment.
They’re also great for taking on road trips, or when visiting relatives and the kids are complaining that they’re bored!
