Printable gingerbread boy Craft Tips

  • I’ve got several step-by-step photos in the how-to card to guide you through making this cute craft.
  • There is also a slideshow video over on my YouTube channel that you can watch and save to your Playlists for future reference. (Don’t forget to subscribe while you are there!)
  • Print the template onto the suggested colored paper or cardstock and cut the pieces out. (But you could use any colors you want!)
  • If construction paper or card won’t go through your printer, you could print onto regular paper and trace around the pieces onto the colored paper/card.
  • Another option is to print onto white paper and color the pieces in with crayons, pens, paints or pencils.
  • Or what about making this gingerbread boy using craft foam? Lots of options for this Christmas activity!

  • Use the photos as a guide and stick the pieces in place with a glue stick.
  • Add facial features like eyes and nose and give rosy cheeks with a pink crayon.
  • Cut 2″/5cm wide strips of paper and make accordion folds to create the arms and legs of the gingerbread boy. Make them as long as you like!
  • An optional extra is adding glitter: apply white school glue to the parts you want to add some sparkle, sprinkle glitter on top, shake off the excess and leave to dry.
  • You could also use other embellishments like googly eyes, or furry fabric to bring this craft to life.
  • If you want to hang up your completed gingerbread boy, use a piece of ribbon or string to form a hanging loop and stick to the back.
