10 Things To Do Around A Campfire
Home » Lifestyle »There is something really comforting about sitting around a campfire. I loved when my dad would set one up in the garden for our annual fireworks party – just sitting around the glowing warmth and being with family was perfect. This year, that job fell to us, as dad wasn’t too well. We rolled fireworks night in with Halloween – the fireworks consisted of a couple of sparklers as it was all a bit last minute, but the fire was all taken care of thanks to Certainly Wood and their Flamer Natural Firelighter. These firelighters are untreated, wax dipped fine wood shavings. Recommended for all fire lighting, both summer and winter.
Lighting the fire using the firelighters was really easy, it’s like we didn’t even have to try that hard! Before long the logs were burning brightly and we could enjoy the cosy warmth.

We lit some sparklers and drank warm apple cider, whilst watching the flames dance around and make shapes. It was so nice to be outside sitting by the fire, I’m glad we have lots more of the firelighters to lit more fires with this autumn and winter.
I can’t be sat near a fire without toasting marshmallows, so we that’s what we did, as well as make s’mores. I wrote all about this American campfire treat earlier this year, but to recap, you’ll need marshmallows, biscuits and squares of chocolate. Toast the marshmallow, then squish it between two biscuits with a piece of chocolate – or just chocolate digestives! Yummy!

Couldn’t believe how easy they were to use and to light the fire!

It’s the whole cosiness factor for me, so lots of snuggles under blankets and maybe a marshmallow or two!

Exactly the same here – I’d love to go camping, but I think I love the romanticized idea of it my head than the roughing it that it can be!!
