Free Printable Build-A-Pig / Printable Animal Series
Home » CREATE » Free Printables »Continuing on in my printable Build An Animal series, I’d like to introduce to you Popcorn the Pig! A free printable paper pig template that can be cut and stuck together.
The build-a-pig printable helps children with their cutting and sticking skills, as well as the opportunity to get creative with other materials too – like sticking on pieces of fabric, or buttons for eyes for example.

I’m just going to gloss over the fact that it’s been about two years since I started this series, with promises of more animals throughout the year… let’s hope this year is the year of lots more build-an-animal printables!
It all started with Rudy the Rooster, and continued with Digby the Dog. Now finally Popcorn the Pig joins the family!
The best way to stay up to date with the free printables on The Purple Pumpkin Blog is by becoming a member of The Pumpkin Patch. As a member you’ll also receive exclusive digital goodies not available any where else!
The animals I create will be anthropomorphic, which basically means that they’ll have human traits – like standing on two legs instead of four.
As with all my printables, they come in two paper sizes – A4 and US Letter (8.5″ x 11″)
I’ve created two sizes for Popcorn the Pig: Regular size, which is what you see above, with all of the pieces on one sheet of paper, and Large size with the pieces spread over several sheets.
Since I make my characters from fairly simple shapes, I think they’ll be less fiddly to cut out than Olaf.
The regular size printable is for children that are more skilled at cutting. The large size should be a lot easier for younger children. Or you could cut them out for them. Of course, you know your children, so will know what suits them best!
Download your chosen printable from the list further down the page (they’re surrounded by a box!), and print onto thick paper or thin card. Cut the pieces out, then build a pig!
You could stick pieces together with a glue stick, or sticky tape.
You could mount it onto a larger piece of paper and use other craft materials to embellish it – furry material, glitter, googly eyes, sequins, buttons, tissue paper, for example.
You could laminate the pieces so that they can be re-assembled over and over again.
