Decorated Drinks {Baby} Bottles
Home » CELEBRATE » Baby Shower Ideas »Remember I gave a little sneak peek into my sister and brother-in-law’s Pink Flavoured Baby Shower a little while ago and showed you some darling, retro, pink and white paper straws? Well, now I can finally share with you how I used them!
I put together these very cute decorated drinks bottles…made using doilies, muslin and baby bottles! And the straws went inside :D
I bought some baby bottles from the supermarket and sat pondering how to decorate them for the baby shower…then remembered that I had some leftover pink muslin from when I made the Nappy Babies for my gift basket for the parents-to-be! I also found some paper doilies in my stash and my idea was born!
First off, I removed the teats as I wouldn’t be needing those. I then cut the muslin into 2″ wide strips, and folded the doilies in half. I wrapped the doilies around each bottle, and secured in place with some double-sided tape.
Next, I tied the muslin around each bottle into a bow….I tied them all first and then cut the excess down to a more reasonable size!
I popped the lids back on until party time, and then placed a straw into each one…I think that they looked so cute!
Unfortunately, not quite enough baby bottles to go around, so I also bought some pink paper cups which had the stripy straws placed inside.
They all sat next to my drinks dispenser full of Pink Flavoured Lemonade and the bottles were well admired and thought to be a very cute idea :) Even better, was we went all Starbucks and wrote our names on the doilies and cups so we knew whose drinks container was whose!
