…Continued from Part 3…
Liam then decided he wanted to have a go at the shooting arcade, and Steve realised he’d left his cap in the CBJ theatre, so whilst they did what they had to do, I sat and people (and bird!) watched for a while, and caught the band parading through.
Before long, it was time for Splash Mountain – a ride we did for the first time last year, and that we love! So we climbed the stairs, bypassing all of those in line and we were soon onboard!
Naturally, I had a panic: was I going to fit in the ride? As always, I asked the CM what they thought. Since you can pull down the bar as far as you need to, I was okay. The boys sat at the very front. I decided to sit at the very back ^_^
Sitting at the front pretty much guarantees a soaking – at the very back, not so much! I managed to snap a photo at the top of one of the drops, but the final one of Cinderella Castle – I missed it – damn it! But the view is AMAZING – if you’re not too scared to open your eyes!
After splashdown, we went to go and take a look at our ride photo and lined up to see what we had to do to collect it. Steve had bought the Memory Maker package which includes ride and restaurant photos (that you normally pay for), and the CM told us that the camera picks up your details from your Magic Band – how awesome is that?! That bit of tech really impressed Steve!
Our ride photo is hilarious – not because of our reactions, but because of the other people in our boat – priceless expressions!
We went on a bit of a wander around, and then realised the time – people were already grabbing a spot for the Festival of Fantasy parade, and so I suggested we do the same. This was one thing I did not want to miss!
As I’ve begun to go through all the photos of our 2014 holiday, I realise, just many rides we missed out this year. I know that this is down to me and the fact that I just couldn’t walk that far. But we WILL be going back (hoping for next year, but if not, definitely the year after) and I’ll make up for everything we couldn’t do.
Anyways, we sat in a marked out area behind a rope, and Steve went and bought some rather delish Cinnamon Glazed Almonds ($4.75) for 1 snack credit. We also bought a bottle of Coca-Cola and Sprite ($2.75 each) for another 2 snack credits. The nuts come in a paper cone which is all folded up to seal them in, so you can always close it up to snack on as you walk around. We noshed them whilst waiting for the parade to start!
The almonds were deliciously cinnamony, sweet and crunchy – well worth the use of a credit! We didn’t always keep proper track of the cost of snacks – mainly because I forgot, but I will include them where I can!
Cinnamon Glazed Almonds, Coca-Cola, Sprite
Total: $10.86 (3 Credits)
DxDDP Running Snack Totals: $10.87 | Snack Credits: 3/84
