Here we are at the penultimate day of Crafty October...day 30! Halloween is TOMORROW!! I'm so excited - I love Halloween!
For today's craft I've created tea-light holders from some miniature pumpkins, which are so cutely named munchkin pumpkins! And that is their actual name according to the label in the supermarket :D

Drill out a hole into each pumpkin...but make sure you do it in a place that you don't mind getting pumpkin flesh everywhere!! Our drill bit was a little to small, so I had to finish off the job with a sharp knife.
Push the tea-lights down into the pumpkins - so that they sit flush with the top, and you're all done!
I think that they look lovely all lit up - wish that there were more available to buy in the supermarket. I'd have them everywhere in the house!
Again, for safety, and you should always do this - never leave a lit candle unattended.
Aside from making these tea-light holders I've also been doing lots of other things for Halloween and I will blog about them tomorrow!
I'm no where near ready for Halloween though - the decorations are only just out of the shed and ready to be put out in the morning, so I will share all our decor when I'm done decorating!
I've still got my pumpkins to carve out...only two this year - normally I do at least six! But the pumpkin harvest seems to be bad this year and the supermarket pumpkins aren't very big :(
And I still have to plan our dinner for tomorrow night as well...I've never been so dis-organised for Halloween!!
I feel tired just telling you about what I've got to do tomorrow! It'll be worth it though - Halloween is my favourite time of year ^_^

I need to make some of these again! I made some years ago... before I had my girls. They would soooooo love to make some with me. I just LOVE mini pumpkins :) Great idea to use the drill :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this at The DIY Dreamer... From Dream To Reality!
I'm so glad I bought the store out of the FIVE that they had! I went back yesterday and they didn't have any at all! Not even a sign on the shelves *pouts*
DeleteThe drill, had me in hysterics - which isn't a good thing, since, you know, safety, but with pumpkin flesh flying everywhere, I couldn't contain the giggles!
