Working with The Purple Pumpkin Blog
About the Blogger!
Hello! I’m Michelle, a 40-something wife to Steve, mum to Liam (1999), and blogger from London. We currently live in Romford and are refurbishing our house for sale in the next year or so. The ultimate dream is to live overseas in Florida. Our second choice is Dorset. Both places hold great memories for us!
My blog is my full time gig these days, after working as a self-employed website designer for 10 years. I put my heart and soul into my blog, and very proud of the collaborations with brands I’ve had over the years, as well as the nominations and shortlisting for blogging awards, including being a two-time finalist in the UK Blog Awards.
And in case you’re wondering… I LOVE the colour purple, I have an obsession with pumpkins – and that’s how the name of my blog was born!

Blog Statistics & Demographics
I gather statistics for my blog using Google Analytics., so you can be assured that they are accurate. I round numbers to the nearest thousand. Because traffic varies throughout the year – with the busiest time being the final quarter, and the least busy in the third quarter – I’ve provided a range of figures for UMV and MPV. Accurate numbers (updated weekly) can be found online here. My readers enjoy cooking, shopping, travelling, home decorating, party planning, and spending time with family. My social media follower numbers are listed below. Please note that Instagram’s figures are cumulative as I have 5 different niche accounts!

About The Purple Pumpkin Blog!
I started my blog back in November 2011 as a place for me to write about parties that I threw for my friends and family – starting with my favourite holiday of all – Halloween! Over the years it has evolved into a creative lifestyle blog, with the tag line: COOK • CREATE • CELEBRATE as it covers pretty much everything I do. My blog gives me the opportunity to be creative, share my ideas, and inspire others to try them at home. My main topics are:
Food & Drink • Free Printables • Seasonal Crafts • Parties & Celebrations • Travel • Lifestyle
Whilst my family is not the sole focus of my blog, they are featured, when I write about holidays, parties, and celebrations. We are a close family, so this also includes my parents, 3 siblings, their partners, and children – girl (2012), boy (2017), and twin boys (due 2019). My niece is a mini reviewer and roving reporter on my blog for toys and activities in her age group. And my husband writes reviews on my blog too- beer, food, or anything techy wins him over!
