Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas 4. Line two cookie sheets with parchment or a nonstick baking mat and set them aside.
To make the cookies, use an electric handheld or standing mixer, and beat the butter, light brown sugar, sugar, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
Sift or whisk the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop out dough into your hand and roll into a ball. You should get about 18 from the mixture.
Place dough balls onto the cookie sheets and lightly press them into a thick disk.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until firm around the edge.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.
To make the frosting, use an electric handheld or standing mixer, and beat the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and cream until combined, smooth and holds a peak.
Scoop the frosting into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
Pipe a tight spiral onto the top of each cooked and cooled cookie.
Sprinkle the crumbled Oreos on top of each frosted cookie.
Gently press a gummy worm into the center of each frosted cookie.
Serve with a glass of milk and enjoy!
